Jocelyn Doe

General Partner

Jocelyn is a General Partner and focuses on Modern Money. She also heads special situation investments and capital formation. Jocelyn has spent her entire career on Wall Street and Silicon Valley through multiple cycles, earning a point of view about what drives successful outcomes in fintech and where the most promising white spaces remain. Jocelyn is an early investor in SoFi (digital student loan marketplace), Figure (blockchain for banks), Pie (digital VAT refund), Nowsta (flex labor marketplace) and Matchday (NIL economics for professional athletes). Recent $B+ exits include SoFi and Volta (EV charging network).

Before joining Builders VC, Jocelyn was a senior investment banker at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. Jocelyn has a global network, having lived and worked in Hong Kong, London, New York and Silicon Valley. Her Board roles include Fidelity International, Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund, and the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art. Jocelyn is a graduate of Stanford University and The Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
