Principal

Andrew Schmitt is a Principal at Builders VC investing in B2B and AI, with a focus on frontier applications across infrastructure, industrials, and data. Andrew partners with technical founders from the earliest stages on GTM, product roadmap, and building enduring companies.He is based in San Francisco.

Prior to Builders, Andrew partnered with founders from seed to IPO at Bessemer Venture Partners and Smith Point Capital, investing in a range of sectors including AI applications, data infrastructure, and cybersecurity. He’s partnered with over a dozen companies including EvenUp, DeepL, HiBob, and Neuron7.ai. He began his career at J.P. Morgan and FT Partners, where he worked on the IPOs of iconic founder-led companies including DoorDash, CrowdStrike, WeWork, and ZoomInfo.

Andrew holds a BS in Finance and Math at Washington University in St. Louis. Outside of work, he’s a marathon runner, Bay Area sports fan, and always looking for new music.
